What is TFP?
In a
Trade-For-Print ("TFP") shoot the model and the photographer come to an
agreement to exchange time and services to each other in an even trade. No
money is ever exchanged for a TFP session.
The
photographer and model collaborate to create a specified set of images.
While the model provides his or her time and skill as a model the
photographer provides his or her skill as a photographer and photo re-toucher.
Lorraine does accept a limited number of models for TFP portfolio
shots. However all TFP shoots do require that the model signs release
documents. This release grants Lorraine the right to distribute images
created in a TFP session as Royalty Free Images.
What is Royalty Free?
Selected images created at the TFP shoot will be offered as Royalty Free
Stock. Images accepted by the Royalty Free Stock agency will be
marketed on the agency website and catalogues. Lorraine submits to
Dreamstime, Istock, Shutterstock, StockXpert, Fotolia, Stockphotomedia.
Royalty Free Agencies may be added to or deleted from this list at any time.
The end
user of Royalty Free Stock Photography pays a single one time license fee to
use an image and is not required to pay any additional royalty for repeat
usage of the images. The end user does not own the copyright of the image
(it remains the property of the photographer) but they have purchased
a license granting them the right to use the images legally without further
payments or interruption from the seller as long as the use complies with
the terms and conditions of the licensing agency's End User Agreement.
What To Expect In Return For TFP
In return
for services offered, the model is provided with a minimum of 5 print ready
images from each outfit / look photographed.
Our
standard delivery goal is 3-4 weeks after the shoot.
