1. I'm not very techno-savvy, can I really create a Photo Book/DVD
with ease? Yes! The software is very intuitive and easy to use. We
suggest you experiment with the different page and photo editing tools; there are a
variety of options to explore and you'll be amazed at what you can do and
how comfortable you will be with the software. Although it is not
necessary, we do recommend that you save your book frequently so you don't
lose your work in the event of a power or system failure, or loss of
Internet connection. This way, you can work on you book over several
days.
2. How much do they cost? Please refer to the shipping
and price chart at the bottom of this page.

3. Will my photos be
altered? No, your
original photos will not be altered or harmed.
4. What can I include in a DVD?
- Up to fifty (50) images.
- JPEG images only - you must convert other file
types (i.e. tiff, raw, jpeg2000, etc.) to JPEG. If you are running
Windows, open the image in Microsoft Photo Editor and "save as" JPEG.
- You must own copyright to any images,
content or text that you upload.
- Add music from the extensive music library that fits the mood of your photo show or import your own music.
- Crop, rotate,
brighten, turn to sepia or several other effects with photo editing tools.
- Use motion effects to zoom in or out, swoop
in or out to bring emphasis to important elements of the photo.
- Add text or captions to as many or as few
photos as you elect.
5. What can I include in a Photo Book?
- JPEG images only - you must convert
other file types (i.e. tiff, raw, jpeg2000, etc.) to JPEG. If
you are running Windows, open the image in Microsoft Photo Editor and "save
as" JPEG.
- Add text as captions across the image, or
insert into a background box.
- You must own copyright to any images,
content or text that you upload.
- Crop, rotate, brighten, turn to sepia or
several other effects with photo editing tools.
- A minimum of 20 book pages (10 sheets)
- A maximum of 100 book pages (50 sheets)
6. Can I make a full page bleed in my Photo Book (edge to edge
printing)? Yes. Select the photo you would like to print
edge-to-edge. You can click on the photo to drag it to a new location
on the page. Drag the photo to the edge of the page. When you
drop the photo, your should see a "swap move copy" box. Select "move".
If it does not work the first time, try to drag the photo to another area of
the page that does not have a green theme box.
Once your photo is in the background, you may need to turn off some of the
special automatic features on that page. Go to "Page Editing Tools"
select "Vignette" which will pop up new selections. Select "none".
You may also have to follow these steps to turn off any graphics that appear
on the page.
If you plan to use several full-bleed photos, it is recommended that
you begin by selecting the theme "Plain White"
7. How long will it take to upload my Photo Book / DVD?
The time taken to upload your project will vary upon the speed of your
Internet connection, file size and the time of day and amount of traffic at
the time of day that you upload. Please be patient and wait while your
images upload. A small book or dvd may take about 5 minutes.
8. What method of payment do you accept? Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Please also note that Photobooks and DVDs are quoted
in $U.S. All other products on this website are quoted in $CDN.
Your credit card will reflect the name of our affiliate, Visan Industries -
the parent company of Rocketlife, who provide our creation software and
secure checkout system.
A receipt will be e-mailed to you. The receipt will also
contain information about ordering additional copies.
9. How long will it take to receive my
product? The manufacturing process normally takes between 3 - 5
business days. Standard shipping services takes about 5-10 days
ground. You can expedite shipping of photo books. Please see
shipping rates at the bottom of this
page.
10. Will I receive a discount if I order
more than one copy? We are not able to offer you a discount for
multiple copies, however shipping is highly discounted for additional copies
of the same Photo Book ordered at the same time. To view the rates,
please refer to the chart at the bottom of this page.
11. What are System Requirements? The software requires
any Windows PC (Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP), with Internet Explorer 5.5 or
higher, and an Internet connection (high-bandwidth is recommended).
12. Will installing the software change how files on my computer open? No. The software only runs within the web browser - it does
not make any changes to the file associations that determine which programs
will load which types of files.
13. How are the DVD's shipped? DVDs are shipped to Canada
by U.S. Post. (Approximately $3.00 per DVD).
14. How are Photo Books shipped? Photo Books are shipped via FedEx. At this time
Photo Book orders can
only be shipped to street addresses. Shipping options and prices are indicated in
the chart below.
15. Will there be any duties payable on my shipment?
Photo Books are shipped from Canada. Shipments
to the U.S. and International shipments may be subject to addition duties,
taxes and customs fees upon delivery. The recipient is responsible for
any such fees. DVD's are shipped from the United States.

16. Who owns the copyright to the
Photo Book or DVD? You must hold the necessary rights for all
content included in your Photo Book or DVD. Copyright in the content
lies with the person who created the image or took the photograph.
Pixart Design is a Reseller of Rocketlife products: Rocketlife being a Photo
Book and DVD printer not a Photo Book and DVD publisher.
17. Can I cancel my order?
Once an order is charged to your credit card it cannot be cancelled.
If you believe that your Photobook or DVD is faulty due to manufacture,
please contact us to arrange the exchange of the item. It is strongly
recommended that you proof each page for customer generated mistakes
including poor image quality, spelling, typographical or grammatical
mistakes before you finalize your order. Customer generated mistakes
will not be replaced.
